80th Descent of the Sella
A total of 1,179 paddlers from twenty countries took part, aboard 826 boats, reinforcing the international prestige and competitive spirit of this legendary canoeing event.
Bouzán and Fiuza confirmed their absolute dominance on the Sella by claiming their seventh consecutive victory, further extending the record they already held after surpassing the legendary Julio Martínez, who, despite eleven total wins, achieved a maximum of four consecutive titles with the same partner.
In K-1, Kiko Vega secured victory after clearly leading the race, showcasing his skill and experience on this demanding course.
The “Valores del Sella” Award was presented to Mara Santos, a paddler from Palencia with an impressive record: 20 victories in K-1 and 2 in K-2, in recognition of her exemplary career and outstanding contribution to women’s canoeing.
