4th Descent of the Sella
In 1933, paddlers were once again gathered in Arriondas in August. A unique caravan of trucks and bicycles followed the course, adding color and excitement to the event.
The winners were again the pair from Ribadesella, César Sánchez Llano and Antón Durán, further cementing their early dominance of the race.
A particularly interesting aspect was that paddlers and companions would head to Llovio afterward to rest and recover, turning the day into a true moving celebration—a forerunner of the lively, festive spirit that would become the Sella’s hallmark.
