The official finish line of the International Descent of the Sella is in Ribadesella, marking the end of the 19 km course from Arriondas. This is where the top canoeists cross the finish line beneath one of the arches of Ribadesella’s iconic bridge.
The top three in each category are honored on the podium, set on the right bank of the estuary. Here they receive their medals and the traditional montera picona, the symbolic hat of the Sella. Additionally, the names of the absolute winners are engraved on a commemorative monolith, immortalizing their victory in the history of the Sella.
