24th Descent of the Sella
In 1960, 165 paddlers took part, showing the race’s growing popularity. That year also marked Norway’s first participation, highlighting the Sella’s expanding international appeal.
The Hervás Prize was introduced, awarded to the individual boat that set a new course record, encouraging greater competition and excellence.
Victory went to the pair from Zaragoza, Vicente Marco and Carlos Gracia, who achieved an impressive time of 1 hour, 23 minutes, and 44 seconds, securing their place in the Sella’s history.
