11th Descent of the Sella
In 1948, it was officially set that the race would be held on the first Saturday of August, establishing a tradition that continues to this day.
Among the many anecdotes from that edition, the organizers’ care and attention to detail stood out. For example, each spectator received a balloon, though the limit was 500, adding to the festive atmosphere.
In sporting results, Nacho Pidal and Jesús Villar won with their canoe “Sta. Marina”, completing the course in 1 hour and 59 minutes.
