Espigón de Triongo – Sella River (Km 3.7)

🔹 Useful Technical Information:

📍 Distance from Arriondas: 3.7 km (Short Route)

🎣 Fishing Zone: Salmon fishing reserve (coto salmonero) (100 m downstream of the Los Llaos shelter to the Fuentes footbridge)

🌊 Section Type: Rapid with a collapsed spur and shallow areas (dry sections)

✅ Ideal for: Technical maneuvering in navigation and fishing from the right bank

📝 Section Description:

The Espigón de Triongo, located at km 3.7 of the Sella River, is a particularly demanding technical spot for those descending by canoe, kayak, or SUP.

Although the spur is now collapsed, the combination of the rapid and the riverbed conditions makes this section one of the most challenging for navigation, especially during low-water periods.

In summer, a large shallow stretch forms before the spur, requiring precise maneuvering.

The original spur was located on the right bank of the river, within the current salmon fishing reserve (coto salmonero), making it a reference point for experienced anglers as well.
